Never a Goodbye, it’s a See You Later

Sue and Simone“We cannot accomplish all that we need to do without working together”– Bill Richardson

Sometimes you meet people who change your life for the better. Those people are called…

Baristas.

Of course, while they make every work day inevitably easier, it also helps if you have wonderful colleagues as well.

I’ve been very fortunate to work with the people that I do. Each and every one of them are fascinating in their own, unique way, and each of them brings something so completely different to work every day – their own brand of genuine, honest enthusiasm.

It’s very easy to have a job where you simply go to work, make your way through the work day and count down the minutes until you have to leave. Working where I do, you simply don’t feel like that. Every work day is fun, the office is energised, and I feel like I am with my family. This translates into striving to do more for my clients and customers, because why not convert that fun into the energy that I give the customers?

As time passes, it’s unavoidable that on occasion, one of your adopted family members will spread their wings and leave the nest. And such an occasion has recently occurred – my amazing, wonderful, kind hearted and marvellous assistant, Simone, is off to new adventures.

Whilst it’s extremely hard to see her go, I am also excited for her. This girl has the world at her feet, and deservedly so. My work days may be a little dimmer without her daily sparkle, but this will be countered by the phone calls and visits that I know I will receive updating me on her new experiences and life plans.

They say that great workmates are those who make work seem like play. So while Simone won’t be in this playground anymore, you can rest assured that her name is still etched into the play equipment.

Have fun Simone, farewell and good luck – until we catch up next.

Until next time,
