“The measure of achievement is not winning awards. It’s doing something that you appreciate, something you believe is worthwhile” – Julia Child.
We’ve had a lot going on in the last few weeks, so much so, that it seems like July (and now August) have absolutely flown past. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, considering that we’re heading towards the warmer months. And who doesn’t like the sunshine?
From the 13th to the 15th of August, the LJ Hooker Summit for 2017 was held at The Star on the Gold Coast. A fantastic industry event, it allowed us to chart and fine tune our business plans for the immediate future. We were also treated to a fantastic night celebrating achievements of LJ Hooker offices and employees.
LJ Hooker Ormeau was very grateful to receive two surprises on the night, the first from being part of the Gold Coast Cell of LJ Hooker Offices, which received the International Best Cell Award. Grouped with other offices in Broadbeach, Broadwater, Burleigh Heads, Coolangatta, Tweed, Coomera, Currumbin, Helensvale, Mudgeeraba, Nerang, Pacific Pines, Palm Beach, Paradise Point, Robina, Southport, Surfers Paradise and Yarrabilba, this award is the result of a lot of hard work by every person who works in any of these offices. To be recognised for the work that we enjoy as much as play makes it all worthwhile, and we feel extremely blessed to be able to work in conjunction with these offices and staff.
The second surprise was LJ Hooker Ormeau receiving the World Champion Community Relationship Award. As I’ve mentioned in a previous post, my dear readers, this award comes about not only through the dedication of the entire team in our office, but also from the unceasing, incredible and ongoing support that we receive from our loving community. Without all of you, we wouldn’t enjoy our jobs nearly as much as we do.
And so, from our entire team, thank you. Thank you for the kind words, thank you for the support, thank you for our ongoing relationships, and thank you for allowing us to not only be a part of your lives, but to want to share in ours.
We couldn’t do it without you.
Until next time,
